Description:
A well-preserved Mamluk pottery basin of broad, flared cylindrical form, finely moulded in low relief and covered in a lustrous green glaze. The body is decorated with a band of stylised medallions enclosing intricate vegetal arabesques and interlace motifs, framed by vertical gadrooning. The vibrant green glaze, varying in depth and pooling in recesses, creates a richly iridescent effect that enhances the moulded patterns. This basin is a fine example of Mamluk ceramic artistry, reflecting the visual sophistication of courtly objects.
