Description:
Finely woven wool and silk textile with an intricately detailed central medallion design radiating from a rich turquoise ground. The lavish boteh and floral motifs are executed in vivid crimson, gold, and sapphire tones, framed by an elaborate wide border with scrolling vines and stylised palmettes. This piece represents the late continuation of the Jamawar weaving tradition, celebrated for its complexity and vibrant polychrome palette.
